News from the doctor!

Our doctor called around 1pm today. He said they found nothing unusual or abnormal on the ultrasound of Allie's head, which means the ventricles are all working properly and there isn't any increased pressure on the brain - Praise God!
The ultrasound did show that the bump on Allie's head increased from 3cm to 6cm since May. What does this mean? Well, once again, the doctors have no idea what the bump is and want us to wait until January 20th to see the pediatric plastic surgeon. This doctor thought it sounded like a dermoid cyst, but then I told him it was hard and doesn't move - then he said, "that doesn't sound like a dermoid cyst". So, we are back to square one with the bump and I am getting frustrated with the doctors - we have now seen 1 family practice doctor, a husband and wife team of pediatricians, and a neurologist and no difinitive answers. The doctor said if we notice the bump growing dramatically or the skin around it changing, we should call them and they will set up a CT scan. The reason they are putting this off is because Allie would have to be sedated and they don't want to do that unless absolutely necessary. We might see if we can get an appointment at the U in the cities before January 20th, but we'll see.
Thank you for your prayers and concern. I am very happy there wasn't any tumor or pressure causing Allie any discomfort in her brain.
